To our hero Marc and his family,

Jesus said: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends"
Marc you put in practice this verse by laying down you young life for us and in this Remembrance Day your sacrifice reminds us that Freedom is not free.

Rest in peace brother, I know that you are in a better place around God's throne singing with the angels.

I finally found the strength to watch 'if I Should Fall'. My son was in 3RCR and when I was visiting him we always ate at Marc's family restaurant - the food was amazing but more importantly the family were so friendly and always seemed to be wanting to please people. Obviously a quality that Marc had, based on the video I just saw. Very touching and genuine.
My son returned from Afghanistan safe and has since retired from the military. I am so proud of him and what he gave our country. He volunteers in our community and has talked about Marc's video. I'm sure Marc's family is proud of him, I know I'm proud for him.
My heart goes out to Marc's family.

I was just watching some soccer players in the field and I instantly think of Marc. I remember the day he approached me at soccer registration...I thought he was trying to register for my U18 boys team...but no he wanted to coach. At the first boys tryouts, I said Marc you aren't much older than some of these guys you are going to have to impress them...well he did that and then some. What a fast runner he was! The boys loved Marc. He took a year off from coaching and teasing, which he was good at as well! When my daughter put in for the military he made it a point of teasing her, until she got to boot camp, then he encouraged her. The day before Marc left I got to give him a hug and he made me promise that he could coach with me again when he got home. Well Marc, my daughter is now employed with the Canadian Coaching Association so there will always be coaching for you to help with!

My son, Carson McAulay (Trooper) was deployed next after Marc to Afghanistan. He was with the Lord Strathcona Horse regiment in Edmonton. His FOB was not the same as Marc's but all the pictures and videos in the DVD show that they were indeed 'in the same place'. As a mother of an only child I thank Marc for his service in the Canadian Armed Forces, for it is the efforts of all our soldiers that have stood strong that pave the way for a more peaceful and understanding world.

I too, like many others who have watched the DVD, could not help but shed tears for the family and friends who truly knew/touched and loved such a brave young man. A HERO.

A friend in Oakville

I just finished watching Marc's documentary, and it was truly amazing. I have known all about Marc's amazing story even before the DVD, hearing about all the people who loved him and remembered him. Going almost everyday to Madameek on my lunch break in high school last year. Seeing the documentary and learning more about Marc has made me look at my life and made me think of how much one person can change the world and the people in it, and made me want to strive to do even greater things with my life. My Dad is a retired Dragoon from Petawawa and it makes me think of all the amazing things these men/women do for us and the sacrifices they make. Marc is a true hero to Canada and to me for what he did with his life, thank you for sharing his story :) Have an amazing holiday Diab family <3

We just now finished watching it and I sat down to read my mail only 5 min after and saw your email. ( I am still wiping away my tears) So moved !!!
The DVD was brilliantly done and paid homage to a wonderful young man, his family , his life and his brothers. Thank you to all for bringing it to life....what a great job ! I hope MANY more Canadians see this ......it brings Canada, our people and our Soldiers to LIFE in a way I have never seen before.
My father is a WWII Vet and still living ....we just celebrated his 93rd birthday on November 23rd . He is landed on the Beaches of Normandy and lived to speak of it. Nov 11th will always hold a special place in my heart .....now , after this DVD , itís even more special.
Thank you again
