Comments: I just finished watching Marc's documentary. It reminded me of what my parents felt when I served and what I felt when my own son served. I was lucky...and now, thanks to you, I feel lucky again...for having been allowed to share your son with me...he's a hero all round, and I'm positive he'll be in God's ranks waiting for you...

Comments: Tonight I had the honour of viewing the documentary 'If I Should Fall'and it was truly beautiful. I have shed many tears for the fallen and their families, such as the Diabs. The work these men and women dedicate their lives to doing has not gone unappreciated and will not be forgotten. Just this March, my high schools History Club went on a tour of Europe visiting many Canadian battle sites and paying tribute to our valiant soldiers. Thank you Marc for your service and impact and may you rest in peace. You will all be in my heart, Sara (17).

Comments: To our hero Marc and his family,
Jesus said: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends" Marc you put in practice this verse by laying down you young life for us and in this Remembrance Day your sacrifice reminds us that Freedom is not free.
Rest in peace brother, I know that you are in a better place around God's throne singing with the angels.

Comments: I finally found the strength to watch 'if I Should Fall'. My son was in 3RCR and when I was visiting him we always ate at Marc's family restaurant - the food was amazing but more importantly the family were so friendly and always seemed to be wanting to please people. Obviously a quality that Marc had, based on the video I just saw. Very touching and genuine. My son returned from Afghanistan safe and has since retired from the military. I am so proud of him and what he gave our country. He volunteers in our community and has talked about Marc's video. I'm sure Marc's family is proud of him, I know I'm proud for him. My heart goes out to Marc's family.

Comments: I was just watching some soccer players in the field and I instantly think of Marc. I remember the day he approached me at soccer registration...I thought he was trying to register for my U18 boys team...but no he wanted to coach. At the first boys tryouts, I said Marc you aren't much older than some of these guys you are going to have to impress them...well he did that and then some. What a fast runner he was! The boys loved Marc. He took a year off from coaching and teasing, which he was good at as well! When my daughter put in for the military he made it a point of teasing her, until she got to boot camp, then he encouraged her. The day before Marc left I got to give him a hug and he made me promise that he could coach with me again when he got home. Well Marc, my daughter is now employed with the Canadian Coaching Association so there will always be coaching for you to help with!

Comments: My son, Carson McAulay (Trooper) was deployed next after Marc to Afghanistan. He was with the Lord Strathcona Horse regiment in Edmonton. His FOB was not the same as Marc's but all the pictures and videos in the DVD show that they were indeed 'in the same place'. As a mother of an only child I thank Marc for his service in the Canadian Armed Forces, for it is the efforts of all our soldiers that have stood strong that pave the way for a more peaceful and understanding world.
I too, like many others who have watched the DVD, could not help but shed tears for the family and friends who truly knew/touched and loved such a brave young man. A HERO.
A friend in Oakville Dee McAulay
